oze- yes, of course- noone would buy the underlying share, with a dividend on top, if the underlying share was terrible value. With EXS, RHG and SIP, timing and dividend price has also been a factor- with EXS, one knows the price (except it will most likely be more, imo, from what the company has said), but we don't know the timing; with RHG, there were the "campaign" issues, and then the price jumped with details of the new return; and with SIP, punters knew there was to be a dividend, but were flying blindly as to how much it would be- for months!
Enterprise value will definitely be given for EXS. We know that any FF dividend can attract fund managers. The dividend chasers- funds or retail- won't necessarily enter until the dividend is a certainty.
