You have to understand how the oil market works.
We are playing with significant global forces here.
Oil is priced in US dollars & the US dollar is the worlds reserve currency. If everyone dumped their gas guzzlers over night the oil price would crash, the US dollar would tumble, China, Japan, Russia & many other leading economies would lose their investments in US treasuries.
Global trade would grind to a halt!
The global economy would be thrown into a depression over night!
Who's going to buy our lithium powered electric cars if they don't have a job??
The transition to an electric car market will be a slow & steady one, it isn't going to happen over night. The entire global economy & financial markets are dependent on oil & lithium will just have to wait for her day to shine. It isn't going to happen just because a few traders on the ASX are upset & want to topple their management just so they can make a few bucks on a trade.
