ACCC not CASA should ban Tiger fly again? Why? Not on safety grounds but on this:
- Tiger Australia posted an operating loss of $S23.2 million ($A17.3 million) in the three months to June 30, 2011, more than double the $S10.6 million loss in the prior corresponding period. - Tiger has not made a profit in Australia since starting operations in this country in November 2007.
- and Tiger says it's committed to Australia. (Unlike a lot of analysts and some people in the forum, I do believe their intention to stay in Australia is real).
But Why does an airline never made any profit in the last 4 years and facing mounting losses and with no foreseeable profits in the future still want to fly? That is the real question?
They JUST want to distort the market. Since they come, domestic fare has fallen dramatically and yet they only captures 5% of the market. People should see that Australian Sky is too small for 3 airlines but too big for one airline? It's a just a game of waiting to see who/which airline dies/collapses first, and then the rest can dominate. Backing by Sin government, they are deep pocketed and playing the game here.
If the sole purpose of a business' existence is to distort the market, they should be banned!
