I agree with most of what you are saying but I don't think the nano particle layer is as thick as what you think.Standard lam glass has a .38mm thick plastic layer this remains the same no matter what thickness glass is used on either side. eg 6.38, 8.38, 10.38 etc.
yes it stops uv etc but one sheet of ClearVue glass would not perform the same as double glazing in as far as noise reduction, heat reduction in my opinion.
My main point here without trying to discredit or make down rammping statements was, that I think from reading a lot of posts on here there is confusion about what laminated and double glazing is.
