sorry to bother everyone again.
i was told by a GP to urgently make an appointment with an allergy specialist. so i just rang the only specialist within 100miles, the lovely lady said the earliest appointment was in 12 months.
12 months?
i have a slightly different understanding of the word urgent. did anyone else bother with this process? i'm tempted to just stick with keeping antihistamines and an epipen in the drawer.
also, has anyone here used an epipen here before? just wondering what the dosage is comparable to in real world terms? if you are someone who generally runs on heightened adrenaline levels, would the single dosage still be effective?
i know these are probably questions i need to ask the allergist, but in the event of something happening in the next 12 months, it would be nice to have an idea of what to expect.
