At the TechKnow conference in Brisbane on Tuesday David elaborated on Thred's partnership with Microsoft stating Thred were integrating with Microsoft Office 365 Swift products (See Swift Key acquisition link below)

He then went on to say that this integration allows Thred access to over 200 million desktops currently using MS Office 365 with projections of upwards of a billion MS O365 desktop users by 2024.
IMO this integration should see Thred granted direct access to 4/5 Fortune 500 companies that use MS O365 as a staple component of their business practices. This includes collaboration with internal and external peers and customers. This collaboration with anyone on any platform has been stated to be able to be done inside any open word/excel/ppt etc doc without having to switch to email, create & attach it to an email, send it & then have to wait for a reply (add loop here). This new method would save time and improve productivity on a huge scale. Two very important metrics for every business.

What is Thred's point of difference though? How is Thred any different to any other chat app? What the heck even is Thred?

To dumb it down Thred brings all of your Social & Chat app friends contact data across the spectrum of Social Media platforms & Messaging apps and email into the one place allowing "users of Thred" true unification of contacts cross platform where anybody from anywhere can participate in a private invited group chat/meeting etc by using just the Thred app/platform alone.

No other company has done this yet as far as I am aware. Slack & co have created "work groups" for improving productivity & time saving & this is one amongst I'm sure a few reasons why they are popular in the B2B space, are growing at massive pace not to mention their revenue per user is off the chart as a 3 yr old baby..

Thred appears to want to run deeper than that and integrate predictive AI/ML to not just centralise all contacts but to create an adaptive individual shopping experience (goods & services) for users within chat as well as B2B through MS. 3rd party agreements ($$$); enterprise income ($$$) are an immediate revenue source upon launch.

Thred's vision appears to embrace emerging mobile markets to bring goods & service to those people coming online in developing countries through mobile. It's a very strong global vision for growth and a smart one if they want to become a monolithic company in time.

This lets call it an "inclusion convergence" has been coming for a long while. It's a natural market shift within the heart of the technology sector. It's the evolution of communication toward that "Holy Grail" of global interconnectedness that the TechKnow interviewer eluded. Basically lets dump email and make communicating simple not siloed.

Here's a grab on Microsofts recent "Swift Key" acquisition eluding to AI and predictive tech as the reasons why they they paid a $200mil price tag. I think we are obviously offering something similar in this area to MS hence partnership and software integration.
