I am with you sailorgirl the rule should be changed.

How can our best swimmer in that event be excluded just because he lost his balance and fell into the water.

How silly is that ------- 4 years training down the drain with one slip. Are we not using these trials to pick our best swimmers? This has not led us to picking our best swimmer. How can falling off the blocks be considered being a false start and even part of the race.

Oh I know rules are rules but this one sucks and should be changed.
