The unfortunate part is that our competitors do not have this selection process...and you may be sure it would not happen in America. The one start rule is fine at the lower levels, but at this level and expense, there is likely to be some rethinking. Of course the whole Australian team could insist that Thorpe joins them, that is a test of sportsmanship. But then ,is it a sport these days?
