"Esh, looks like you gather all your info from the Internet"
Actually that is where you are completely wrong. Below is a post I made in September last year where I have personally calculated from first principles the percentage of Li2O in spodumene based on the atomic masses of its individual elemental constituents.
https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/an...882583/page-102?post_id=18967224#.WJX8X2etTtQ
As a result of that calculation I made in September and as I've tried to explain to you a few times (but it hasn't sunk in to your head), if those diamond core samples had have had a Li2O grade of 1%, the spodumene (and other Li baring minerals) in the diamond core would occupy 8.03% of the rock. Unless the spodumene presenting in those cores in unusual, ie having an atypical habit (ie extremely small crystals), I believe any trained geologist would have been able to estimate the spodumene content to within say plus or minus 25% and hence the percentage grade of Li2O to the same level of accuracy. As mentioned I will be checking this with the actual experts very shortly but that is my personal conclusion and my opinion at this stage.
If you would even care to look at the definition of a pegmatite, you'll find on any basic internet search, that the rock is composted of large crystals, this is part of the defining characteristic of this particular rock type.
"A pegmatite is a holocrystalline, intrusive igneous rock composed of interlocking phaneritic crystals usually larger than 2.5 cm in size; such rocks are referred to as pegmatitic."
So the defining characteristic is that when these rocks are formed the individual crystal grains of the constituent minerals are large, in fact larger than 2.5cm.
If your eyesight is so bad that you can't see crystal grains 2.5 cm long occupying a rock by 8% of its weight then you need glasses. If the Li2O grade in the core had have been 2% then the spodumene would occupy 16.06% of the rock.
I will get to the bottom of what's happened here, don't worry about that. I'm no fool and I'll be relying on more than the internet.
In the meantime I hope you are finished with your character assassination based on no facts at all. I really wish I could meet you face to face. Esh
