According to ASIC reported daily short positions, as of the 14 of Dec., there were 2.8 million outstanding shorts and from shortman, around 120k were added between the 17-19 Dec. It'll be very interesting to see if any of the volume from the last couple of days was covering these positions as it'll be getting very hot in the bear cave with A$ gold now around A$180 above the base case (A$30 above high case).
