Maybe KEY isn't in on the negotiations. They might not even be talking to the Tanz govt to try to get an extension. Apart from saying they have a commitment to drill a well we cannot afford to after pouring the money down the UK well, I cannot find a statement from management saying they were in discussions with the TZ government on outcomes or renegotiations of terms. Maybe they are just hoping the problem will go away?

Aminex might know this and could be pushing the government to cancel the exploration licence and award it to them and given that KEY has telegraphed to everyone that it wants out of TZ anyway, it could be an easy sell. We might not get a penny.
