As I was traveling south along the Pacific Highway at Tomago 10 km north of Newcastle NSW yesterday I noticed that the buildings of the former Volgren bus assembly plant have been re-branded as Fleetwood.
The plant was purpose built about 7 years ago to assemble 100 - 150 buses a year but closed over 2 years ago when their contracts were complete. It has been vacant since then. There was little activity there.
I wonder what Fleetwood proposes to do with this plant. It is a modern purpose built assembly /manufacturing plant.
