Cost of Doing Business in Malaysia is definitely beneficial but Cost Benefits don't add up as Lynas was on the verge of Balance Sheet expansion in FY 20 IMO.
When production must be expanded but unable to due to political backdrop that will drag on for another three years. Cost of Doing Business actually goes Up - production limits could be hit in October instead of December next time around..
One thing is for certain a world class Hi-Tech Chemical Plant deserves better and sometimes you need to pay a premium - sure, margins will suffer in the short term but management should be able to over time improve efficiencies. There is no reason not to bring experienced Malaysian managers at the plant to Australia to continue their good work.
This nonsense needs to end now.
