I saw the update on PlayStore description but dates weren't showing the other day so wasn't sure what was happening.

Unless. The current data balance sits there for a few months (you could earn previously without activating) and then say making a short trip you pay $6 for 100MB/10 days plus whatever data balance in situ.
That I could live with - otherwise they are going to quickly peeve their existing customers.

Either way to just push this through as an update without an email to customers advising them of the change is pretty poor imho.
