I agree with Brendankok. The voice component is merely a value add. They are just trying to simplify the charging mechanism by not also having a $/sec method. I noticed that you can now show your callerID by verifying yourself.
It would be cool if they could allow you to forward your local SIM number to a virtual number (as per their original SIMs) so that you could receive calls whilst travelling abroad without switching back to your primary SIM.
I guess this would be less attractive for them as in this instance they would only be getting the normal data usage rate not the premium data rate for outbound calling. Then again, they could charge a call forwarding fee to address this.
I noticed they have now passed the 100k total download mark and that more recently their download mix has been more weighted toward iOS downloads. (Almost 50:50) of late.
I would suspect the conversion rate of iOS downloads to paying subscribers would be much higher than with Android.
It will be interesting to see if they provide further commentary in the upcoming quarterly.
