It will be interesting to see whether GBP wants in on the next drill, or whether its focus will be elsewhere. Leighton for example, it does produce, but a very tiny amount when compared with what could be produced if they can get Block 5 working in Uganda. (Also still no definitive figures for BOEPD from Leighton, so who knows what it produces. There was announcements of initials of 300- 480BOPD at 15% GBP WI from 5 wells, but never any sustained announcements, which worries me a bit)
It will be very interesting also to see over the coming weeks whether GBP was right in selling off its FOGL, they are drilling now, might be a discovery, might cause a war.
Now, after 2 Ugandan dusters financed by the FOGL sale, I in retrospect wish GBP had just kept FOGL.
I still haven't given up hope on discoveries by GBP (still partially invested) TRP (sold out), but it was a year between drills in EA5, thats a long time to wait. Will probably be back with proper money when it comes around again, can't ever resist the 20- 30% risk but the 1000 - 10000% upside.
Good luck to all holders and future investors.
