With Dick Smith as a substantial shareholder I would hope that selling to Chinese cheaply would be vetoed.
The company needs to report to the market. If the results are good then the market will act accordingly and the Chinese can short away to their hearts content. As the directors have recently purchased hard to perceive that performance could be that much on the nose.
