Can you point me at the report that states this? I've done some searching but all that I can find is that early tests indicated an evaporation rate of 2.6 metres per year.
Concentrated brine brine can be produceded faster simply by not fully filling the ponds. Evaporation rate should be proportional to the surface area of the pond, not the volume of brine, so a half-full pond will concentrate brine at twice the rate of a full pond, but produce half the amount of concentrated brine. This should allow new ponds to quickly concentrate brine to augment the Stage 1 ponds, especially during the coming summer months.
