Using a single equivalent grade to compare projects and deposits is very useful. Calculating a metal equivalent grade is not quite that simple though. An equivalent grade calculation requires all input costs as well as metallurgical recovery and payability for each metal not just the grade.
Again a deeper understanding of the issue shows that early stage results can only be used as clues to finding a resource - they are not a good predictor of the future potential of the resource.
