As the geos appear to be in this thread, I'll ask again, as there are no comments in the other thread......
I have had a good long look at the photo on the first page of the announcement and compared it to every photo of pentlandite and description I can find on the internet, including going to nickel companies and looking at their nickel cores which often don't come up in google searches.
There appears to be both a darker and a lighter silvery material, when you look carefully. The medium grey silvery colour is likely to be pyrohitite while the lighter colour grey silver within it is probably pentlandite.
Can any of the geos that have so far stated a dud, tell me what the lighter of the 2 colours is if not pentlandite? I certainly do not see any chalcopyrite (Cu) there.
Every other hit of Nickel with pentlandite appears to be within pyrohitite, you get the 2 grey silver colours with the light one being pentlandite, so what is our lighter colour if not pentlandite?
