David “Avocado” Wolfe is known widely for his holistic and alternative medicinal approaches. He’s also known for his anti-vaccination stance. Wolfe has typically been revered, even by mainstream public perceptions, who commonly share his articles and memes across social media.

However, the citizens of Sydney, Australia, were not so welcoming. The Inner West Council has canceled Wolfe’s “Raw Cacao Dance Party” event due to his anti-vaccine stances. The Council says it was not warned of Wolfe’s upcoming appearance, however, upon learning of it, canceled it with immediacy.

Wolfe is touring Sydney to teach people about the benefits of raw foods. But officials worry that his linking of vaccinations to autism is cause for concern in a country that currently is one of the most restrictive in the world when it comes to mandatory vaccination legislation. Australia recently removed government funding to families who choose not to vaccinate under the “No Jab, No Pay” bill.

However, canceling a raw food tour seems to place Australia under a new, heightened level of fascist extremism that seems to be growing.

According to Daily Telegraph’s Australian version:

“Inner West Council does not wish to be associated in any way with such views,” Mr Pearson said.

Mr Wolfe’s tour includes a three-day nutrition and “wellness” seminar at the International Convention Centre (ICC) at Darling Harbour.

Mr Pearson confirmed today the council decided to cancel the Marrickville event after numerous complaints from residents and local Labor MP for Summer Hill, Jo Haylen.

“Over the past few days, we have tried to reassure our residents that vaccinations and immunisation would not be discussed at the event, and we obtained a written statement from the organisers that this would be the case,” he said.

Our society is becoming increasingly intolerant and closed-minded. That’s why we condone tyrannical vaccination policies. It’s a very slippery slope we’re now on. We need to address this, before it’s too late. Awareness, learning and understanding is a starting place.
