Wonganella - no-one 'brought-in' the Africans, except people who make a living out of getting the boats organised etc. These were not the 'invited' people into Europe. It was the disaster of the Middle Eastern wars, in which all of the West had been perpetrators in various ways, either by neglect (NATO just mindlessly went along with the aggressive policies of the U.S.A.) or by intent. Angela Merkel, being one of the leaders of Europe, most likely knew more about the perfidious ways in which those wars were continued, justified, the slaughter prolonged than any of the others.

That she didn't consult with the rest of the EU members, particularly the late-comers in the former Eastern Bloc, (and England of, course, who have had migrants from their former colonies to overflowing and also didn't like some of the European migrants who were competing for jobs on building sites etc, particularly the Eastern Europeans, because they still know how to work) is what brought this essentially humanitarian act into disrepute and eventual misuse, as humans will do.

I have just had a letter from a guy (in Vienna, that's my contact in Europe) who volunteered for a long time as a language and 'living' coach to the newcomers. He has despaired, too, but also because of bad policies of this Austrian Government/Buerocracy for example some young migrants/asylumseekers have managed to get apprenticeships, they have now completed a number of years and now with the new right-wing in charge, they will have to return, because one of the laws to do with migrants states, that if an asylum seeker is in a job, he has the right to bring his family over.
A humanitarian touch, but no thought given to the fact that 'family' to a Middle Easterner is more than a wife, it's his parents, his wife, his wife's parents - etc. 'his' can also stand for 'her' but the young migrants are predominantly male.

So they're all freaking out - and the Africans simply got on their way to Europe just all on their own, nobody invited them and eventually I can see the Mediterranean being patrolled, any 'migrant' ship from Africa - one shot before the bow, to warn them, that they will be sunk - you'll see that traffic will stop pretty soon. (all this opinion from my friend, who is in essence, still is, a humanitarian)

These African youngsters in Italy are aware that they will be returned, they also expected something - something very different than 'go home' - being young, uneducated, male they are just 'acting' out - if they become more violent, no doubt, the Police will use their guns. that's what I hear from my European friends.

There is no need to call people who felt they had to pick up on the damage done to whole nations in the Middle East by their 'NATO' (under the guidance of an American General) f'ing this and that - I object to your language, your sentiment is your own and you can keep it.
