That is all good but you need to bring in folks with the same national aims, same cultural links of human decency and able to loosely integrate in modern society.

We here in Oz had a good multi cultural aim so we were equitable in who we take. Unfortunately we had the one size fits all policy which means we take in decent folks but the crap came with it.
Hindus, jews, progressive Christians, Buddhists, bahais, all the shades of religions and then Muslims. Nothing wrong with that on paper except the last lot cannot integrate or socially communicate in compatible national aims. They have and required to be different in every way, dictated by their faith.

Sorry no alcohol period, no pork, must be halal, bedsheets, PGM, sharia and the list goes on. I’m not saying tee totaller is the way to go nor vegetarianism or whatever personal bent people feels like but do not as a group demand rights against national cultural conscience of intolerable behavior.

If you ain’t able to participate in the sausage sizzle, drink piss occasionally or go to the beach then you have a problem. A religion dictates what is acceptable based on centuries old practices with non progressive dogma isn’t fit for our society immersion let alone consumption.

If I were an immigration minister, I’ll make it a policy that only folks who can participate in society as a whole need to bother. I won’t have such opportunity in our progressive system, too right wing anti- tolerance it would seem.

I’m going to be bold by saying new refugees groups that arrive will have a generational period of adjustments. The young grow into our national society and move up. Can a sociologist say the same with Burka clad chicks and bog brush Alis? Unfortunately isolationalists breed perceived injustices, prejudices and religious intolerances. As you can see my love for Sarah is as strong as Bembrika.

We are late comers to the game with the exact same problem. The explosion, bombs, stabbing and pavements run overs will continue. We know what experiences the other western society has been through. It isn’t a Muslim folk that I object but the garbage they seem to flesh out of the religious texts and make it righteous.
