So lets get this straight,you think intermittency issues regarding wind and solar are of no consequence.
First of all, wind and solar require a huge proportion of land per mwh (excluding rooftop pv).Not a small issue for the world as a whole.(note i have disregarded new transmission infrastructure based on based on its one off nature.)
Intermittency this is were i have a real problem with renewables by their very nature they,require grid backup, a fact in my opinion seems to be ignored.
But then we have the so called panacea of energy storage which in my mind defeats the purpose of renewables.(with regard to resources consumed and energy input.)
