"And every day, four ships make the round trip Goma-Bukavu because of two ships lined up from each city. Some 1,500 passengers take the Silimu ships daily. Another ship, a freighter, is carrying traffic between the Congolese towns bordering Lake Tanganyika including Kalemie, Nyunzu, Moba, Manono, Kavumu, Uvira, etc. Shipbuilders are, to date, among the largest taxpayers of the provinces of North and South Kivu as well as Tanganyika."
