China is not evil, China reminds me of Germany under Kaiser Wilhelm and Otto Van Bismarck. A powerful rising power who was a command structure with no democracy. But the Germans did not want democracy, they were quite happy being in the greatest millitary and technological nation of that era. When you demonise, you set upon the path that the UK did with Germany. Do not make the same mistake, the Chinese have been humiliated by the Americans joining in is not in NZ interest. Treat China as you would a pre-war Germany with great caution, win the battles you can and give up those that are meaningless.
