Here is a very informative video regarding how countries have dealt with Huawei. There are 3 main players in the mobile telecommunication space, Huawei, Nokia and Ericsson. There is many rightful concerns about doing business with them but from people I know who work in that field Huawei can build a comparable network for under half of their competitors. Telco board of directors would love not to spend twice as much as they need to upgrade their networks but they have to also listen to public opinion and the government of the country they operate in as well.
