Just as i've been long mentioning 'ah plant hire' as the most logical purchase by NHR, i am now of the belief as the cycle progresses and ah plant hire becomes well and truly bedded down within NHR,that if the board of NHR are at all serious in taking market share of COA,and becoming the hire industry leader, then NHR should 'now' clearly start to focus having 'kennards hire' on their radar screen as the next most significant bolt on acquisition! and consider conducting due diligence at the most appropriate time

As both organisations take advantage of the prevailing current favorable cyclical conditions,head in the same direction via store expansion and capex on fleet and compete for business in the civil,infrastructure & renovations market sectors,the arithmetics & synergies generated out of a combined NHR/kennards might give a hire market share between 9 to 15 % approximately and in which case could possibly be ACCC friendly

Kennards Hire has moved on to Queensland's Sunshine Coast and has also expanded its branch network in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and regional NSW and Victoria.

In just three months, Kennards Hire signs have gone up at eight new locations. There are now 90 hire centres nation-wide.

1-Noosaville Qld: Production Avenue. The first of a number of hire centres planned for the Sunshine Coast.

2-Cleveland Qld: Wellington Street. The first Brisbane bayside outlet.

3-Coffs Harbour NSW: 34 Marcia Street. Fills a gap on the Mid North Coast, and links with the existing Port Macquarie branch.

4 & 5-Wollongong NSW: Two new outlets Dapto (corner of Princes Highway and Prince Edward Street) and Corrimal (277 Princes Highway). They provide a bigger branch network, in the Illawarra region with existing hire centres at Unanderra and Oak Flats, and a specialist Kennards Lift & Shift base at Unanderra.

6-Hoxton Park, NSW: Corner of Hoxton Park Road and Ash Road. This is a new, state-of-the-art hire centre in Sydney's west for the existing branch, which has moved 1km along the road.

7-Geelong Victoria: Corner of Roslyn Road and Belmont Street, Belmont. This is the first regional Kennards centre in Victoria.

8-Rockingham WA, Dixon Road. A brand new hire centre in Perth's south and the company's seventh in the west.
