Mining Moratorium in NTT Wait for Legal Basis

Bisnis.com , KUPANG - Head of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Department, Boni Marasina, said the mining moratorium in the area was still awaiting the governor's decree.
"Still in process. Teams from relevant agencies are still conducting studies, including preparing a draft or draft of the Governor's Decree on a mine moratorium," said the Head of ESDM NTT, Boni Marasina in Kupang, NTT, Thursday (09/20/2018).
He said this, related to the mine moratorium plan, and what types of mining would be used in the moratorium.
NTT Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat said he would stop all mining activities in NTT. That policy is one that he will implement in the near future.
