No my view had not changed, except perhaps that DLS is even a better investment proposition considering its production profile, cash position and exciting work program for the next 12-18 months.
As for SXY and STO. The falls have been impressive to say the least. Its like the GFC, but for only certain parts of the resource sector. I can only dream of being all in with Blue chips like the banks etc, and having the ability to rotate into the gold, oil and iron ore sectors (obviously being very careful with what stocks I would actually invest in).
DLS is, IMHO the most secure onshore Australian oiler on the ASX. Hence why I am very comfortable holding shares in the company. Sure I would much prefer to be buying them at the current prices, but sadly my crystal ball did not predict a massive and sustained fall in the price of oil.
I want exposure to the oil sector, but I also want to protect my capital base, so... DLS it is.
