Hi Prawn_man,
I don't know anything about MRC,
I am invested in FGR, WKT, AXE and KNL,
KNL has a new process to make spherical graphite that can use anyones graphite, well worth checking them out, they also have a ML, lower grade graphite to WKT. WKT still need to gain the RAP, the amount of compensation required will be minimal, it is another step that needs to be completed. they have quickly moved from being years behind the other graphite companies to be one of the leaders.
I don't like Talga - Graphite / Graphene, they do have some massive names in MOU's and collaboration agreements, if you dig into their graphite - graphene conversion patent application it details they only produce 2% graphene, most of what they produce is micro graphite. Many of their agreements have delivered nothing, Tata steel and Talga developed a anti corrosive coating together, this should have been commercialised if it was any good, Tata group have now developed their own anti corrosive coating that they are using on rebar. If you didn't know TLG's graphite is amorphous, not flake graphite, amorphous graphite is worth less than $1k per T
FGR is my pick for a graphene company, I have spend alot of time researching the company,
they are not one to market or sell themselves, example, when they completed their graphene production facility the ASX announcement detailed the factory capacity is only 25 tpa this is based on the factory running at one shift per day, the factory is capable of running at 90-100tpa based on 3 shifts, the graphene product information sheet on the companies website has the true information about its capacity and product.
FGR own upto 70% of several IP's the best one I believe is VFD (50% ownership), It can make graphene, graphene oxide, fullerene's, used to cut carbon nano tubes, carbon nano dots, the cheapest and highest yielding method of bio diesel - (3 different methods), medical drug mixing, increased capacity in a solar cell by mixing of the chemicals. the list just goes on. share holders have only been advised of its ability to unboil a egg, and that it can make graphene and graphene oxide, It is now being tested to make other 2d materials. (if you read the research papers this has already been achieved)
Firestop is currently being altered to broaden its range of uses.
FGR have recently joined the GEIC (part of the University of Manchester ) the GEIC has been built for graphene companies to work directly with industry to commercialise graphene, a basic summary, they are taking all of the past 14 years of graphene research from the lab and into the market, the UoM 300 scientist will be working with industry and the three tier one partners (First Graphene, Haydale and Versarien).
FGR does have it faults, many do not like the CEO, they do not proved decent ASX announcements -late last year Warwick Grigor was writing the announcements where there was a significant improvement, I believe he has been side tracked in trying to secure a few offtake agreements (source his recent Axino video). They have struggled in mining graphite from their own deposits.
There is plenty more to be said about all of these companies.
