It’s only a phase of multinational companies moving from country to country. First it was made in Japan, then they moved to Taiwan and Hong Hong. Then as wages and inflation caused the cost of doing business to rise, they moved to South Korea and then China and also Mexico. Maybe India, Africa and Pakistan next.

Trump is leading to level the playing field, and is telling everyone changes are needed to move towards renewables, artificial intelligence and robotics. I think the changes coming are going to be good for mining.

This is a generalisation, but China is only mimicking others like Japan, USA and rest of G20 etc, and closing down many factories and relocating them overseas. China Has its own unique business strategies, including the one belt one road project, and pollution issues to improve. Plus an aging population supports this.

It would not be surprised if we see graphite processing plants and factories to build batteries and electric cars being announced by Chinese firms in Africa soon. Natural Graphite and Vanadium is in demand due especially with batteries and renewable energy and hence TON has something to offer. It is not as if TON is not ready to go. It could be that the customers are the ones trying to get their act together and plant construction of refineries and factories to consume the graphite.
