"Seems Syria and Russia have halted their attack on Idlib....... is it the US or the Turks that have them bluffed?"

    GZ,
Maybe "bluffed" is the wrong word.
I doubt I could quickly retrieve some links I've been reading lately so I'll post these comments as questions. These are the points I would have to answer.

Could the Kurds be realising that they are being played by the USA and Co, while they're of some temporary use?
Could the Kurds be looking to do some long lasting deals with Assad who might be welcoming them?
Does Erdogan hate the Kurds, or certain factions within them? If so, how to deal with that?
Is Turkey big enough and powerful enough that it must be included in any deals to bring peace to the region?
If Erdogan is looking threatening at the moment, would it be sensible for Russia and Syria to temporarily halt operations and start talks with Erdogan?
Do the Kurds control many of the oil wells in parts of Syria?
If the Kurds move towards Assad does that mean Assad would regain some control over many of the wells?
If all this is handled, could peace have a chance of breaking out?
    Long shots:
Would Israel be happy with peace breaking out?
If Israel is brought into the fold somehow would Iran then back off?

At which point in the above lot would the US, UK, Israel get pissed off and organise a false flag or two?
