Erdogan's army may perform very poorly but they none-the-less have the huge advantage of a common border.

I'm not sure of what Turkey will do next (if anything). I'm not sure if Merkel's green light referred to Turkey (aggravating rebel attacks on HTS) 0nly.

Then we must remind ourselves of Turkey's dire economic position and that Putin's priority is Turkey (not Idlib). Putin knows that Turkey won't attach Russian positions and Erdogan knows that Russia won't attack Turkish positions for now.

Osi, had just read that Erdogan iscurrently supplying arms to the Free Syrian Army to oppose Assad's army at Idlib. I wonder what Putin will think of that? He will HAVE TO take out the FSA to take Idlib????
