I would like to think that if I invested some hard earned wedge in a company, the board of that company would consist of fired up individuals chomping at the bit with barely concealed excitement that recent events had shown that they were almost certainly going to be at the helm of a very successful gold mining company.I would imagine I would witness a sense of vibrant go-getting urgency oozing from every pore of their well paid bodies. Men and women who - rather than displaying a penchant for self congratulation and backslapping over work done years ago - would be totally focused on the NOW wanting to share their excitement and vision with their shareholders.Then I saw the AZX presentation by their MD at the Paydirt convention.Did anybody else who saw that feel, as I did, that a spot of gardening leave might be appropriate??
