My point was not that the government should bail out any company that gets into trouble for whatever reason. It was more that GBG have at least attempted to downstream process rather than just simply digging up the ore and shipping it over seas. In the future there will not be much ore left to ship out of Australia. IMO we need a manufacturing base in this country and I believe that government funding should assist this sector of the economy.
I make no comment about GBG management past and present or Ansteel all of whom I have strong private opinions about. I would probably get suspended if I did air these opinions.
