morning, I saw data several years ago on the age and gender of people who die from snakebite
the biggest group from memory were over 50 year old males. Very young kids were in there as well I think, but not as many as the older men.
The older males were interesting - they had been trying to kill the snakes - when younger, they might well have won the battle - but, with age comes a loss of agility - then, the snakes won Of course, if they had left the snake alone to go about it's business - both would live to ripe old ages probably
