Bad jokes aside... It is the IPCC task to bridge that gulf you speak of. They are there to assess and review all the science submitted to it from all over the world and convey their results to the member nations of the UN. Formed in 1988 and have released 4 reports so far reaching the conclusion that the fact of global warming is unequivocal - the chance of it being from only natural causes at <5%.
To say that this is all bull***t means that a monstrous hoax has been perpetrated on at least the 180 or so govts that signed kyoto. That is conspiracy theory extraordinaire! Not very believable.
