they can be back but it's too early I see today as desperate shorter trying to get there money back. it's like the old saying buy low sell high or shorts short high take profits low. being short at 1.40 is just stupid and smart money would have lighted until next report or a big movement until $2 who would borrow stock just to make a 10% gain? you have no risk to reward at these levels for the shorts
