I think you've picked up on something significant. Friday was an exceptionally high volume day as alluded to by Jako8557. Do read his post.
I've counted 31 stocks showing very high volume selling and 18 stocks buying., all in the ASX200, no species. See NST sold, MMS bought as examples.
