Morgan,
Keep in mind, I'm no expert... There's heaps of really smart people on this site.
Some things to check out.
1/ Join the www.ataa.com.au you will meet a wide range of Chartists, some who use nothing more than candles and volume and some who get really Hi Tech. Back in 2000 I meet some Chartists who used nothing more than candles and volume... they would look at a chart and in around 5 seconds have the game sorted.
2/ Get Your Trading Edge Magazine each Issue.
3/ Get Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities Magazine each issue.
4/ Get the Book Chart Patterns After the Buy, by Thomas N, Bulkowski.
5/ Get the book Extraordinary Popular Delusions.
Most of all... really go to town on Support and Resistance... keep it firmly in your mind while reading the Stock Operator book.
That should keep you busy for a while... will Post more suggestions when I get the time.
Cheers.
