Hi Orwell and @CaptainGrumpy,
AMC - Amcor - this company just reported a fabulous profit and overall good news.
The price has ... come DOWN !!! and not just a bit either ....
I can understand when there are expectations of good results and the price has been going up factoring in the upcoming results. Then if the results are nothing outstanding, a pull back is in order.
In this case, there was a pull back, and the price movement was rather modest. An excellent result is announced with a good Dividend to match and what happens ?!
A good while ago I bought some AMCS17 and thought that I was set for a good collect. The stock's going ex-div on the 4th Sept. making things a bit tighter.
I've seen this happen before with other companies and I've been blaming our weak market for that but I'm not too sure.
Can either of you Gentlemen please throw some light into these apparent anomalies and the usual good advice?
Cheers and thanks,
socccer
