I've been chasing a rabbit down a hole for the last 2 weeks and I thought this might be the place to share it. Jeffrey Snider did a video on RealVisionTV a week or two ago which exposed me to some new ideas and I have been searching for and reading anything written by him since. It has given me plenty to think about.

As I understand it, the crux of his view is that we are suffering a massive global monetary contraction since the collapse of the 'Eurodollar' credit system (which functioned through shadow banking)  in August 2007, and that the 'Eurodollar' system has effectively become the true reserve currency. A lot of interesting ideas follow from this.
