A wonderful idea to start a new thread for this Orwell and thanks Jako for making it happen.
The stocks I have been looking at are:
ANN BXB BHP CWN CSL CTX DLS HSO MML NCM NST PPS PPT PRY RHC SEK SOL SUN TGA TLS WFD WPL WOW ... plus the banks
I am interested in the aging baby boomers (baby boomers having been behind many growth industries/areas from birth onwards), and so the health care sector is of particular interest for me.
Have had PRY for awhile now which is a service company for medical, para-medical and related services, and daycare surgery operator ... all of which are growth industries imo.
HSO I have my eye on while it is consolidating around the $3 mark, wouldn't be surprised if it went a bit lower and have an order further down. It is Australia's second largest private hospital operator, a provider of pathology services in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore and has a long history of operations in healthcare.Healthscope came out of private equity ownership for the last four years and since listed in august last year has had a steady rise.
RHC is a very solid performer and would like it in my smsf too but waiting for a correction
Same with CSL
And one that I just looked at this weekend is ANN (Ansell, who doesn't know that brand
) which focuses on health and safety protection solutions ...personal protective equipment and medical gloves market, as well as in the sexual health category worldwide. Once again all good growth prospects imo.
It has just inked a $113 million deal to buy a UK-based protective clothing manufacturer called Microgard towards building the company's body protection operations. Subject to conditions being met the deal is expected to be tied up in the second quarter of this year and become earnings per share accretive in the 2016 financial year. It has a beautiful chart too, and once again am waiting for a correction.
Tried to post the charts but failed
... and am going to the markets now for a wander and brekkie so will add some more later
thanks Jako for the charts and will be keeping a close eye on BHP
