Darryl Guppy has a nice technique which is in his second book ( I don't remember the title right now).
You plot short term MAs (3, 5, 8, 10, 12 and 15 days) and you also plot medium term MAs (30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 days).
This creates beautiful and elegant curves which tend to converge and "pinch" together. When this happens you're pretty sure to see sizeable move the next day or so.
When the short termers move up and over the medium termers it implies that the move will be upwards, the reverse if the short termers cross over and below the medium.
Throughout all this you expect that the sp will stay above the 30 week MA. If it doesn't, it't time to get out.
I use different colours for the short, medium and long term MAs ( I also have a 21 week MA which helps).
Incredible charts makes this so much easier, wonderful program.
