agree, .....on both things.

i still think that true leaders would try to make systems fair and simple. i mean, that is their day job.

maybe the problem is the thousands of public servants who are required because the whole thing is complicated - hardly in their interests to make it simple - and they are the ones who actually write the policies - so whose interest does it serve to make things more complex.
