....Tubby Chou Chan is chewing the fat somewhere else these days - he got the sack. But does that mean anything?

I sincerely hope in years to come the foreign entities likely to be controlling much (more) of Australia show environmental concern but if they don’t at home, what hope is there ?
Now I have to go back to read one of the links I put up saying the EPA is ‘embattled’ and find out why : /

Considering the above Pioupiou, I would think, rather than trying to delay things, Formosa would be hustling to move itself and it’s taint onto new ground.
Port Hedland is nice and remote with mostly just an inconvenient caveful of endangered leaf nosed bats at the Iron Bridge site*

I’m also thinking Fortescue would be a bit wry about signing a 33% prenuptial with Formosa, despite the dowry.
If I was FMG I would be the one delaying ... keeping Formosa quietly in the bottom drawer as long as possible.


However it may not wish to be contained . As per your January link , it is set for major expansion with the 12 new wharves (33% bigger!) at a port built to import coal and iron ore.


It now understand your interest and am also interested to see if the is “soon” announced as approved or if it will be kept in mothballs a bit longer
And I agree the delays have potentially been good for NRW ...and for the bats .

If the livelihood of fishermen across four Vietnamese provinces didn’t much matter I guess the quolls dont stand a chance
