Well, as the title of this thread is "thank you thank you", I do hope nobody takes issue with my post this time. It seems that the title is somewhat appropriate to what I'm going to write, so I'll put it here regardless.
It's was a very interesting November no doubt. It seemed that as the share price headed south, so too did the content of this board. There were people everywhere looking to get their opinions in (and options haha) hoping to somehow effect the outcome of the share price. One poster in particular was getting under plenty of peoples skin by gloating over how much he/she had made as the share price was going down. That was kind of funny to watch. I was very surprised that nobody pointed out that in Australia one pays double the tax when holding shares for under a year, so it will be really interesting to see how that all works out if indeed we head back up to 6c after the completed PFS comes out (any day). In my case, I converted a portion of my options back in Feb so that I started the one year "ticker". Now, in Feb 2019, I will have owned a good % of my holdings for a year, so I can do what I want with them. I too have added a lot of shares during this drop, like a couple of others in the Top 20 (as was discussed on Friday). These new shares I'm happy to hold for 2019 as I think AVL's management will steer this ship very very well.
Based on the last few months on here it would seem now may be a perfect time for me to head out to greener pastures. It has been fun to exchange views with many of you, especially those who remember the YRR days. It has certainly been an exciting ride. Hopefully it will continue, and I really do expect it will. I'll no doubt check in from time to time with my cup of coffee, but there are much better folks on here who seem willing to engage with many of the "newbies". I understand it's all about making money, but I do miss the days that we were all exchanging ideas on the "metal of the future". Now that the rest have caught on, like most cool spots I've hung out, when the word gets out they usually walk in like they own the joint. Wonder what they were all talking about 3 years ago while we researched vanadium and patiently learned exactly how this company was going to go from a value of under $10 million to over $100 million.
It's a great time of the year and my kids can't wait to see Santa, so I think that's what I'll be concentrating on. That and the great weather! So "thank you" to many of you and good luck to all ho ho ho
