Funny how sp has been beat down, every time I think this is it the bottom it gets pushed a little lower, based on the announcements a complete takeover is not on the cards so no reason to push the weighted average down for a takeover bid. With the potential split the value of the eagle ford acreage should be pretty easy to sell unless they are trying for massive numbers, given the oil we are producing and the track record of successful drills could certainly see why management feel their acres are worth more than others being sold. So why the beat down on sp?
1) maybe a few people are tired of waiting and are liquidating their positions? But that seems strange to let go for a loss as I doubt many bought under the current price so you would think these sellers are taking a loss.
2) thought volume was drying up then Friday it ramped up to over 300,000 shares which is still small but larger than the average we have seen.
3) nothing being announced by any major shareholder for change of interest notices in either buying or selling, but management may not be able to buy if they are negotiating for insider trading reasons.
So nothing really explains it, guess txn is to boring for most so they are moving funds to other areas for some excitement, personally I think the real excitement is just around the corner and patience will be rewarded. Outside of little to no news, can't seem to really fault management, sure they put their snout in the troff with these latest options, but name a company where management don't have their own interests at heart, I haven't found one yet.
So guess I will sit back and wait, and if others continue to dump, guess I will continue to accumulate.
