Anyway, back to IOH - The PPT (as you call them) have blown 70% of the $10 mill buyback so I think they will be full of fear that stepping in now (at least in any significant way) would simply blow the remaining 30% in double-quick time.
It would certainly give the SP a shot in the arm, but it would be very short-lived and then if (when?) real trouble sets in they will have spent all their bullets. I'm sure they would rather have some bullets in hand if & when global markets take a serious body blow.
If we look across the sector IOH are no orphans at the moment and IMHO there is no reason for Fosters to pay a premium for buyback stock when it looks like being cheaper tomorrow.
